Connections #
The GTCU is capable of being connected to a DC power source ranging from 8-65V DC, including input from a battery bank or a DC power supply adapter. It is crucial to incorporate a 3A fuse into the connection to safeguard the unit from damage. The LTSHT temperature and humidity sensors are to be linked in parallel on the screw connector ports. If desired, the Ambient LTSHT sensor can be disconnected for observation of temperature and humidity only within the enclosure. Notably, the enclosure LTSHT sensor must remain connected to enable the GTCU’s regulation of cooling, heating, and dehumidifying systems. The LTSHT sensors come prewired with 1.5m for LTSHTE and 0.5m for LTSHTA. Ensure that all communication cables are positioned away from mains power sources, such as AC power outlets and 240V/110V AC power cables. In DIY power walls and battery banks, it is essential to operate the batteries within a cool, humidity-free environment, especially when employing Lithium-ion batteries.
The illustration above depicts the interconnection between the GTCU and TMU monitors. The TMU monitors are interconnected in a daisy chain configuration using the supplied cables, with the ability to connect up to 56 monitors in series. In the event of a monitor becoming disconnected during regular operation, the network updating on the GTMSUI will halt, while the GTCU continually scans the network until the TMU monitor is reconnected. Normal system functionality will be reinstated once all monitors have been reconfigured and re-registered on the network.
